Connect a thermal receipt printer to your kitchen and every new order comes out on paper by itself — nobody has to open the dashboard or click anything.
How do restaurants print online orders automatically?
RestroSuite Print is a small app that runs on a PC in the restaurant and stays connected to your account. When an order arrives, RestroSuite renders the ticket and the app sends it straight to your thermal printer over the network or USB. The printer needs to understand ESC/POS, the usual command set for 58 mm and 80 mm receipt printers.

Kitchen ticket or customer receipt
Pick what each printer prints. The kitchen chit carries only what the cooks need — quantities, dishes, options, notes. The customer receipt adds prices, discount, delivery fee and tax, with your logo at the top if you want it there.

03 · Simple setup
Set it up once, then forget about it
Pairing is the whole setup: add the printer in your dashboard, paste the code it gives you, and you are done. Nothing to set up on your internet connection or router, and nobody from an IT company to call. From then on the app starts with the PC by itself, and if the printer is switched off or out of paper it waits and tries again.

Order printing is new. RestroSuite Print produces standard ESC/POS output and has so far been verified against an ESC/POS emulator rather than a range of physical printers. If you try it with your own, tell us how it went and we will publish the models people confirm.

Can RestroSuite print online orders automatically?
Yes. Once a printer is paired, new orders print on their own — nobody has to open the dashboard or press anything. You choose per printer whether it prints the moment an order is placed or only after your staff accepts it.
Does RestroSuite support ESC/POS printers?
Yes. RestroSuite renders each ticket as ESC/POS commands — the command set used by Epson, Star, Bixolon, Xprinter and most generic receipt printers — and sends them to the printer over the network or USB. Both 58 mm and 80 mm paper are supported.
Which printers have you tested?
So far RestroSuite Print has been verified against an ESC/POS emulator rather than a catalogue of physical printers — this part of RestroSuite is new. Because the output follows the standard, common receipt printers should work. If you try it with yours, tell us and we will publish the models people confirm.
Do I need a special computer?
No. Any Windows or Linux PC already in the restaurant will do. RestroSuite Print is one small application with a setup window and a tray icon; it starts with the machine and then stays out of the way.
What happens if the printer is offline or out of paper?
The order stays in the queue and RestroSuite Print keeps retrying, so it is not dropped when the printer is unavailable. Once you reload the paper or plug the cable back in, the waiting tickets print in the order they arrived.
Can the same order print in two places?
Yes. Pair one device for the kitchen and another for the counter, each with its own printer, document type and trigger. Both receive the same order and each prints its own version of it.
Do I have to open ports on my router?
No. The app only makes outgoing connections to RestroSuite, so it works behind an ordinary restaurant router — or a phone hotspot — with no port forwarding, no static IP address and no VPN.
Does order printing cost extra?
No. Printing is part of your RestroSuite subscription. There is no licence per printer and no charge per ticket — you buy the printer and the paper, and that is the whole cost.
Coming from another ordering system?
If your kitchen already prints orders from TastyIgniter, GloriaFood or a self-hosted setup, we will move your menu across for free — and the printer on your counter carries on doing the same job.
