Choose the title and description that help search engines describe your restaurant’s pages.
Where to find it: restaurant Backoffice → Pages → Edit → SEO.
- Open the page you want to edit. Enter a clear Page Title and a useful Meta Description explaining what visitors will find.
- Check the live preview as you type. The counters recommend 50–60 characters for the title and 120–160 for the description: green is within the range, yellow is shorter, red is longer, and an empty description field is neutral.
- Click Save. The saved metadata applies to your website; search results do not update immediately.
The title counter measures the complete text shown in the SEO preview. On the home and menu pages, the entered title is used without a suffix. On custom and legal pages, the system adds the restaurant name; this suffix appears in the preview and counts towards the title length. If the field is blank, it counts the default title. The description counter measures your entered text, including spaces. The application allows up to 255 characters in the title and 320 in the description; the colored ranges are writing guidance.
If the title is blank, the home and menu pages use a default title with your restaurant’s name; other editable pages use their page name with the restaurant’s name. Blank descriptions use defaults on home and menu pages; other pages have no custom description.
Keep an eye on
- The preview is illustrative. Google may choose different text or shorten it; the recommended ranges are not Google limits.
- Page metadata does not enable indexing. Check General Settings → Advanced → Enable page indexing and the page’s Exclude from search indexing option. If indexing is locked, complete the other Getting Started tasks. Search Console verification is a separate step.
- Checkout is always excluded from search indexing and has no SEO editor.
